I was a 9th-Grade student of Joji Konoshima at Elisabeth Irwin H.S. in NYC 1958-59. A class photo including Joji was circulated among my classmates today, prompting me to do a Google search to see what had become of him, and whether he was still alive. I'm sad that I never reconnected with him during his lifetime, since he was one of my favorite teachers. But I'm glad to see what a distinguished career he led.
