A roundtable discussion, featuring Vietnam Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT) – the Honorable Tran Tuan Anh – and his delegation was held on September 30, 2019 in Washington DC. Hosted by the US-Asia Institute, in collaboration with VinaCapital GreenPower Generation, the roundtable included key American businesses who participated in a discussion of opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy electricity and minerals to strengthen the relationship for investment and trade between Vietnam and the U.S.
The discussion opened with remarks from Ben Wu, Vice-Chairman of the US-Asia Institute, and introductory remarks from Don Lam, Chief Executive Officer of VinaCapital. The discussion included keynote remarks by Minister Tran Tuan Anh with a special presentation by the MOIT’s director-general of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority of Vietnam – Mr. Phuong Hoang Kim. An interactive Q/A session followed.
